Jim spent his last 8 years immersed in the Golf Industry with ClubCorp. The first three years at University Club Atop Symphony Tower in San Diego.
This private business club won prestigious awards for operational excellence with Jim as General Manager, while increasing Membership by 26%. Jim's next five years were with Morgan Run Resort & Club in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, also as General Manager. While at Morgan Run, he successfully opened an $8 million Spa and Sports Center that included seven spa rooms, athletic center, pool, food & beverage outlet, a kid's club, and locker rooms.
Jim's extensive food and beverage background began with Paragon Steakhouses, Inc. as Director of Operations. While he spent 20 years with Paragon Steakhouses, he supervised seven restaurants ranging from casual to upscale concepts. After becoming a Managing Partner with Donovan's Steak & ChopHouse from 1999-2001, Jim was responsible for all aspects of the 10,700 square foot restaurant. Donovan's features a comprehensive wine program and was voted "Best Steakhouse" in San Diego in 2000 & 2001.
